USDT payment FAQ

Which USDT network should I use?
TRC20 (Tron) is the most popular for payments due to near-zero gas fees (~$0.01) and fast confirmations (~1 min). For customers on DeFi platforms, ERC20 may be preferable. Solana USDT is the fastest (~15 sec).
Can I accept USDT on multiple networks simultaneously?
Yes. You can create invoices specifying any network. You can also offer your customers a choice — create one invoice per network and let them pick. Each gets a unique address.
What happens if USDT price depegs?
USDT is pegged to $1 but in practice trades at $0.999–$1.001. Bekena forwards the exact USDT amount received. If you're concerned about depeg risk, consider also accepting USDC.
Is there a minimum USDT payment amount?
Yes — minimum invoice amount is 1 USDT. There is no maximum. For very small amounts, note that network fees may exceed the Bekena fee on ERC20.
How do I handle USDT overpayments?
Bekena fires a payment.overpaid webhook with the actual amount received. Your backend decides how to handle it — credit the extra, auto-refund, or hold for next invoice.
