Bekena API key
Create a free account at app.bekena.com and generate your live API key. Sandbox keys are available instantly with no KYC required.
Payout wallet
Set your crypto wallet address in the Bekena dashboard under Settings โ Payout. This is where confirmed payments are forwarded.
WordPress + WooCommerce
WordPress 6.0+ with WooCommerce 7.0 or higher. Your site must be accessible over HTTPS for webhook delivery.
Installation guide
Download the plugin
Download the Bekena WooCommerce plugin ZIP from your Bekena dashboard under Integrations โ WooCommerce, or get it directly from the API documentation.
Upload to WordPress
In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins โ Add New โ Upload Plugin. Select the downloaded ZIP file and click Install Now, then Activate.
Configure the gateway
Navigate to WooCommerce โ Settings โ Payments. Find "Bekena โ Crypto Payments" and click Manage. Enter your API key, select currencies, and save.
Set your webhook URL
In your Bekena dashboard, go to Settings โ Webhooks and add your WordPress webhook URL: https://yourstore.com/wc-api/bekena_webhook. This notifies WooCommerce when payments confirm.
Test with sandbox
Enable sandbox mode and use your Bekena sandbox API key to make a test purchase. Confirm that order status changes from Pending to Processing on simulated payment confirmation.
Go live
Switch to your live API key, disable sandbox mode, and verify one real transaction. Your customers can now pay with crypto at checkout.
How the payment flow works
Customer checks out
Customer selects "Crypto" at checkout and chooses their preferred coin (USDT, BTC, ETH, etc.).
Invoice generated
Bekena creates a payment invoice with a unique deposit address and exact crypto amount. QR code is displayed.
Payment detected
Bekena monitors the blockchain. When the customer's transaction confirms on-chain, the webhook fires.
Order auto-completes
WooCommerce receives the webhook, marks the order Processing, sends the customer a confirmation email.

Common questions
Does this work with WooCommerce Subscriptions?
The core plugin handles one-time payments. For recurring subscription billing, use the Bekena Subscriptions add-on which supports automatic recurring invoices.
What happens if a customer underpays?
Bekena detects underpayments and marks the payment as "partial". The WooCommerce order stays in Pending status. You can manually resolve it or configure auto-cancellation.
Can I display crypto prices on my product pages?
Yes. The plugin includes an optional price display widget that shows the live crypto equivalent next to your fiat prices. Enable it in plugin settings under Display Options.
Does it support HPOS (High-Performance Order Storage)?
Yes. The Bekena plugin is compatible with WooCommerce HPOS (Custom Order Tables). Both legacy post-based and HPOS storage modes are supported.
Can I limit which currencies my customers can pay with?
Yes. In the plugin settings, you can enable or disable specific currencies. For example, offer only USDT TRC20 and BTC, excluding other options.
