Why hosting providers choose crypto payments
No payment processor bans
Hosting providers are frequently deplatformed by Stripe, PayPal, and card processors. Crypto payments are permissionless.
Global customers
Accept payments from any country without currency conversion issues, cross-border fees, or restricted territories.
Instant service activation
USDT on Solana confirms in 15 seconds. Services activate the moment payment confirms — no bank clearing delay.
Lower fraud costs
No chargebacks. No fraudulent card disputes. Crypto transactions are final, eliminating 1–3% fraud costs.
Installation guide
Download the module
Download the Bekena WHMCS module from your Bekena dashboard under Integrations → WHMCS. The download includes the module files and documentation.
Upload module files
Extract the ZIP and upload the contents to your WHMCS root. Module files go to /modules/gateways/bekena/ and the admin callback to /modules/gateways/callback/bekena.php.
Activate in WHMCS
In WHMCS Admin, go to Setup → Payments → Payment Gateways → All Payment Gateways. Find "Bekena Crypto" and click Activate.
Configure API credentials
In the Bekena gateway settings, enter your API Key from the Bekena dashboard. Select currencies to accept. Set invoice expiry window (default: 30 minutes). Save changes.
Configure webhook
In your Bekena dashboard under Settings → Webhooks, add: https://your-whmcs.com/modules/gateways/callback/bekena.php. This URL receives payment notifications.
Test and go live
Create a test invoice with sandbox credentials. Verify that the invoice generates correctly and the service activates. Switch to live API key when satisfied.
Module features
Auto service activation
When payment confirms, WHMCS automatically activates the hosting service, sends the welcome email, and creates the account in cPanel/Plesk.
Renewal invoice support
Renewal invoices work the same as new orders. Customers pay in crypto, and the service renewal is processed automatically on confirmation.
Receipt emails
Customers receive WHMCS standard payment receipt emails when their crypto payment confirms. Transaction hash is included.
Multi-currency
Show customers multiple coin options or restrict to a single coin. Mix currencies: USDT TRC20 for standard clients, BTC for VIPs.
Exchange rate lock
Crypto amount is locked at invoice creation. The price the customer sees is the price they pay, regardless of market movements.
Admin override
WHMCS admins can manually mark crypto invoices as paid, view transaction hashes, and replay webhook events from the payment log.
Common questions
Does it work with WHMCS in subdirectory installations?
Yes. The webhook URL is configurable in the module settings. Set it to the correct path matching your WHMCS installation location.
Can customers pay renewal invoices in crypto?
Yes. Any invoice generated by WHMCS (new order, renewal, addon, domain) can be paid via the Bekena gateway. The module handles all standard WHMCS invoice types.
What happens to the service if the invoice expires unpaid?
The invoice expires and the WHMCS order remains in Pending Payment status. WHMCS handles service suspension per your normal overdue settings. The customer can generate a new invoice to pay.
Is the module compatible with WHMCS v8.x?
Yes. The module is tested with WHMCS 8.0 through 8.x. It uses the standard WHMCS payment gateway API, so it's compatible with any WHMCS version that supports this API.
