How the detection works
Bekena uses the same IP intelligence for payment routing decisions. This tool exposes that data publicly.
MaxMind GeoLite2 Country
Offline database with 250k+ country-level IP ranges. No external API call — instant, 100% reliable.
MaxMind GeoLite2 ASN
Identifies the Autonomous System (AS) that owns the IP. Cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, Hetzner, etc.) are flagged as datacenter.
VPN / Proxy Layer
Secondary detection for commercial VPNs and residential proxies — the same signals Bekena uses to determine payment routing mode.
Payment Routing
Shows how this IP would be routed at checkout: Direct Wallet (0% fee), Smart Conversion (1% fee), or Blocked (restricted region).
What do the results mean?
Clean Residential IP
Regular home or office broadband. No anonymizing service detected. For Bekena merchants, this is the most common incoming payment traffic.
VPN / Proxy
The IP belongs to a commercial VPN provider or proxy service. Bekena routes these payments via Direct Wallet (0% fee) regardless of country.
Datacenter / Hosting IP
Traffic from AWS, GCP, Azure, Hetzner, or other cloud providers. Usually bots, APIs, or business traffic — not end-user consumers.
Blocked Region
IP is from a sanctioned country or jurisdiction where crypto payments are restricted by law. Bekena does not process payments from these IPs.
